Becoming Catholic

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a program for adults who are interested in becoming Catholic but who have not received the three sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation).

Candidates who have been baptized in another Christian denomination generally receive only Eucharist and Confirmation.

The program is designed to educate the participants regarding the teachings of the Catholic Church, but also to foster and encourage a deeper, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic - or who has been baptized Catholic but has not received First Communion and/or Confirmation, RCIA is designed for you to learn about the Catholic faith and to become Catholic if that is your desire. The program starts each year in September and continues until Easter. RCIA meets on Monday evenings 7-9pm in the St. Isidore's school cafeteria.
